Qualification and technical expertise
Dr. Michael Berthold has many years of international experience in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery and is one of the leading specialists in his field worldwide.
In 2010, he graduated as the best in his class in dentistry in Mainz. Michael Berthold completed his Master's degree (M.Sc.) in "Implantology & Dental Surgery" with best grades possible. The 4-year, full-time further training to become a specialist dentist for oral surgery took place at the renowned private dental clinic Schloss Schellenstein, directed by Prof. Dr. Fouad Khoury. This clinic is highly regarded as an international centre for implantology and dental surgery. Dr. Michael Berthold was appointed senior physician at the private dental clinic. His work at the clinic has made him an internationally sought-after expert in implantology and augmentation surgery (bone-building surgery).
Accompanying his work in Munich, he took over the management of the implantology department of several practices in London, where he was accepted into a small select circle of specialists.
Research and further education
Since 2015, Dr. Michael Berthold has been working as a scientific assistant at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU) and is involved in research projects for innovative therapy concepts. Due to his excellent expertise and extraordinary scientific commitment, he is a sought-after speaker at international congresses. In this context he gives lectures in the field of implantology and oral surgery at advanced training events worldwide and contributes to the further development of the field.
