All-on-4: Firm third teeth in one day in Munich

For patients who wish to have a comprehensive care with dental implants, we offer the so-called All-on-4 concept in our dental practice. This method manages with only four implants per jaw, which are anchored in the jawbone (upper and/or lower jaw), and restores an toothless jaw with fixed third teeth in just one day. In addition, in an All-on-4 treatment, the dental implants can be inserted without bone augmentation of the jaw. In a normal dental implant treatment, this step is usually necessary in advance to be able to anchor the implant firmly in the jaw.

The All-on-4 concept is particularly suitable for edentulous patients (upper and/or lower jaw) who want a restoration with fixed third teeth instead of impractical dentures. Prior to treatment, the individual steps are gone through with the patient and we will make use of a digital impression of the jaw condition by help of a 3D scan and take an X-ray. Now the procedure as well as the optimal position of the All-on-4 dental implants is planned precisely.

On the day of the procedure, the anaesthetic is now administered and any remaining diseased teeth are extracted. With the help of a specially made template, the four dental implants are now inserted into the bone using a special method in such manner that bone augmentation can be avoided. The temporary denture is then attached with screws. After the temporary prosthesis has been fitted, the patient can leave the dental practice and recover from surgery at home. The temporary denture can be stressed immediately after the treatment.

The inserted implants now merge with the jawbone within the next 3-4 months and can then be replaced by a permanent prosthesis, which is individually made for you in our in-house laboratory. Due to the general anaesthesia, the treatment is completely painless and stress-free for the patient and is therefore especially recommended for patients with dental fear.
 

The "All-on-4" or also "All-on-four" concept is basically suitable for patients who are afraid of the great effort of conventional implant treatments and want a quick solution for an edentulous jaw request. However, this procedure is also particularly suitable for patients with little of their own jawbone, since the special method requires less bone substance compared to other implant methods. 

If the teeth are restored with implants, this usually lasts for several years, in some cases even several decades.
